経歴 Biography: アニメーション作家。1968年モスクワ芸術座付属演劇学校俳優科卒業後、ゴーゴリ劇場の俳優、オブラツォフ人形劇場の演出家を経て、1975年にソユーズムリト・フィルム（連邦動画撮影所）に入る。デビュー作は「空にとどけ」（1975）。当初はセルアニメを製作していたが、マッチ棒を使った「コンフリクト」以降、「ブレーク！」「紆余曲折」など、クレイ、人形や針金といった様々な素材を使いこなした立体アニメーションを制作するようになった。ソ連崩壊後は独立し、スタイエル・スタジオを設立した。
